Bartender has become one of those apps that I can’t imagine being without. I know some people are fanatical about not running Menu Bar icons, but I find that a lot of the apps I depend on use them. Bartender is a great way to keep them all out of sight unless I need them. With the newest version of Bartender, you can set your own hot key for showing and hiding the Bartender Bar.

Overcast, our favorite podcast app for iOS, received an update a couple of weeks ago that features a few new features and patronage model, and we’ve updated our review to reflect these changes. The biggest change is the pricing model for the app, which is now free for the full version of the app — a new patronage model is available for users to support the app voluntarily at different levels.
