The best third-party email app for iOS

Last week, we published a review on the best third-party email app for iPhone.

After looking at the wide range of third-party apps, Outlook is the most polished, and it’s the one we recommend as your first choice when moving away from the built-in iOS client.

With a focused inbox option, snooze options, a built-in calendar, and a wide range of support for various email systems, it’s simply the best.

How to get started with Markdown using Byword »

Here at the The Sweet Setup, we really love Byword for writing in Markdown on OS X. We think Byword is the best of the bunch because it hits the sweet spot between simplicity and functionality. It offers a calm writing environment, yet has just enough features under the hood to make you a happy and more productive writer. Markdown is a great language to write in because it is fast, readable, and able to be converted to HTML.

Alfred 3 teased »

Alfred, our favorite launcher for OS X, is about to get a big update with version 3.

The version will include an overhauled theme editor, clipboard history support for not just text, but images and files, too. Most important to me, however, is the workflow editor.

John Voorhees wrote a great summary of the new features and updates in this new version. If you like plain text on iOS, Drafts is certainly worth checking out.

A Focus on Time »

A Focus on Time

Things like diligence, focus, priorities, saying no, time management, and the like are important. But why?

This quote by Benjamin Franklin pretty much sums it up for me:

“Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.”

Focus, priorities, time management, etc… These are important because they’re about loving life.
