Tip: How to check your Apple service and support coverage

Even the best Macs and iOS devices experience failures (like my old MacBook Pro, pictured above), but getting help from Apple is easy. The company offers numerous ways to get support, whether it be online, over the phone, or in person.
A critical bit of information, however, is your device’s warranty status. Thankfully, Apple has a webpage for that, too.
Simply visit that link, plug in your serial number — here’s how to find it — and Apple’s website will do the rest:
This particular service and support coverage report is for my own MacBook Air. As you can see, it’s under Apple’s one-year, limited warranty until June, and I have until then to purchase AppleCare.
