How to disable Activity app notifications on your Watch

While the Activity app on Apple Watch can be a huge motivator, it can also be annoying with constant alerts. Personally, one of my biggest complaints is how it has no concept of rest days. Recently, I finished half-marathons in back to back weekends. The next day: Activity app needed its rings filled again. Needless to say, I needed a day where I didn’t have to worry about it.

To silence all alerts from the Activity app, launch the Watch app on your iPhone. Once you are in the app, go to Activity.

You can flip as many options off as you’d like. Personally, I disable everything but the special challenges. I try to limit as many alerts as possible. The alerts about my rings aren’t going to motivate me to work out or not. I have a pretty specific schedule for cardio and weight lifting, so I’ll exercise when it’s scheduled. If you’re like me, you might appreciate having fewer taps.

I do leave the special challenges enabled because they are often time sensitive, and let’s be honest: I want those special badges.

  • How to use those page templates to transform GoodNotes into your own productivity notebook (or any other type of notebook replacement).

Plus, we also have included a couple of our custom productivity templates for you to get started with. These templates are right out of our popular productivity course.
