Some great apps that are on sale now

There are many excellent iOS and OS X apps on sale right now. A couple of examples include the entire suite of 1Password apps and Day One for iOS.

We made a list of some of the apps that we heartily recommend, even when they’re not on sale.

Check out the whole list here.

Quick tip: Remove duplicates from OS X’s “Open With” menu

If you’ve used Finder to open the “Open With” contextual menu at all, you’ve probably seen it act up, creating duplicate entries for applications that can be used to open the file in question.

As Stephen point out, this is an incredibly easy fix. We’re not sure why the duplicates appear in the menu over time, but at least there’s a simple fix to keep it clean.

Sweet Setup interview

In this week’s interview, we had the opportunity to talk to Katie Floyd. You probably know Katie from her weekly podcast alongside David Sparks, Mac Power Users. She also writes at KatieFloyd.me, ScreenCastsOnline Monthly Magazine, and occasionally at Macworld.
