Here at the The Sweet Setup, we really love [Byword](http://thesweetsetup.com/apps/favorite-markdown-writing-app-mac/) for writing in Markdown on OS X.

**Here is why:**  

* It's readable
* It can convert Markdown to HTML
* If you add in the IAP, it can publish directly to a lot of popular web CMS'

Another good Markdown tip, is to setup a [TextExpander](https://smilesoftware.com/textexpander) snippet for ";mdl" to be [%|](%clipboard). This will allow you quickly create links in Markdown documents.
